Discovering who you are is an important undertaking for any young person, but it is even that much more important for an artist. Point of view, medium used, artistic expression and voice all has to be explored and identified. Even though I am not a practicing architect, a lof of who I am as an artist goes back to my architecture training, and I will always be so grateful for that experience.

When it came time to complete my final project, my advisor suggested that I identity an artist of every type including painter, sculptor, architect, etc., and then create my project incorporating inspiration from each of those types. That experience was invaluable to identifying, and showcasing my artistic voice.
