So far I have spent black history month thinking about black youth, and how to honor them to give them the best chance for success. In the United States, there are so many amazing black role models to look up to. For black kids in America to have seen a black President - wow!

As a kid in France, I didn't have anybody that looked like me out there that I could look up to. Though we could see the likes of Martin Luther King, Jr. and more modern day athletes and celebrities on TV, the language and geographic distance of these people far away in America made it hard for us to relate.

Whether we are entrepreneurs, athletes, artists, or whoever, we need to remind ourselves that we can give hope by acknowledging and empowering the black youth in our own communities to be anyone they want. They are the future, and we have an amazing opportunity to show the younger generations what is possible.
