Early on in the life of D'clic, I hit what I thought was a major roadblock. After putting a lot of work and thought into creating a company name, logo and brand, I learned the name was already taken, and I was faced with fighting an already existing trademark. I was really upset at the time, and had a really hard time letting go of the original name. However, I didn't have a lot of time to wallow, as I only had a few weeks to get another name. I used my anger to drive me, and I began moving the letters around from the original name to keep the meaning and create graphics that made sense and the told the story I wanted to tell.

I now know that was the first of many challenges I would face as an entrepreneur. It taught me that I have to make hard decisions fast and then let them go. It turned out that the name change was the best decision I could have made, and now this name - D'clic - is the real first name.
